Using HighlandWalks we chose "the loop" route going up from the Srathyre cabins up the steep forest track, over the top and around and down behind Ledi through the forest to the east (Stank Glen) which was pretty tough going but the views are exceptional as you rise you can see to the East Loc Lubnaig and as far as Stirling castle to the South west - amazing! A fabulous introduction to Munro-bagging for those in the early stages, Ben Lawers is amongst the best walks in Perthshire.With glorious Loch Tay to the south and views to the Cairngorms to the north, it’s a stunner on a sunny day.
